The trailer for Kartikeya Gummakonda’s ‘Bhaje Vaayu Vegam’ has been released. The film, which is a May 31st theatrical release is helmed by director Prashanth Reddy, a protege of ‘Saaho’ and ‘Run Raja Run’ fame Sujeeth.
Going by the trailer, the story incorporates a big chase and a missing stash of money that a political bigwig needs in the shortest possible time. Sarath Lohitaswa and Ravi Shankar play furious bigshots. And then, there is a father-son conflict.
The hero chasing a target (a stash of money here) in a time-bound target with several others after him to stop is a tested and familiar story. Pace is important in such films. Usually, the emotional and romantic threads have to be neatly intervened or they come as speed breakers. We will have to see how the director handles them.
Towards the end, we feel that the director had given away everything in the trailer including the last shot about the father.
If the director still held something back for the theaters and if that is revealed intelligently on the big screen, it would be the key to the success of the film. Young Directors these days are capable of doing that.
Karthikeya looks fit for the role and does action well. The film has some solid names in the cast. UV Concepts, a wing of UV Creations bankroll Bhaje Vaayu Vegam.
