BAN Opening Day – Career Best Or All-Time Best?

Openings day records are not the strength of Superstar Mahesh Babu. It has always been the long run, and that meant first week records in the kitty. He is the only star in Telugu cinema who has more first week records (four which includes a hat-trick) than the opening day (two).

Will Bharat Ane Nenu change that impression? As things stand today, it is sure to get a record among the Superstar films, unless the talk is terrible. The bar isn’t that high, and hence the career-record should be easily achievable. But, when we look at overall numbers, it appears a bit tough. There is a good amount of hires and other share guarantees coming in, however, as of now, they aren’t giving a Non-Baahubali record-breaking picture barring a couple of areas.

Superstar Mahesh Babu is going to get the widest release of his career all over. A decent talk should enable the movie to cross the Twenty Crore opening mark. It has become a benchmark of sorts for the top stars. As and when it happens it would be a first for the actor. A higher number above the Twenty Crore mark would be dependent on external factors mentioned above.

Will the big ‘Srimanthudu’ combination enable Bharat Ane Nenu to aim for biggest records or settle for career records? We will know in few days’ time.
