US BO: BAN Falters But Recovers Well

The new film of Superstar Mahesh Babu has thrown in some big surprises at the US box office which is considered as the citadel of the star. Bharat Ane Nenu threw everyone off guard with its premiere numbers.

So, as many know, Bharat Ane Nenu comes with a massive combination. It is from the same director and actor team that gave Srimanthudu, the biggest grosser in the US before Rangasthalam happened. Even otherwise Superstar Mahesh babu is the strongest in the US which led many to assume a smashing premiere collection. Unfortunately, that didn’t happen. BAN is reported to have collected around $800K. It is a big number, but fans expected it to be double of that, which should make people understand why many dub it as a disappointment.

The good news, however, is that Bharat Ane Nenu has got great critical acclaim and it is on its way to make up for the slightly underwhelming premiere numbers. Its first day is around 1.4 Million, and by the end of the weekend, it will be well past 2 Million.
