BAN US – Extreme Confidence Or Following New Norm?

The moment the initial schedule of the Pawan Kalyan starrer Agnyaathavaasi came out, everyone knew it was going to have a significant implication. The Telugu commercial films in the US, especially the ones starring the big stars or in big combination will have an entirely different release strategy. Bharat Ane Nenu confirms that again.

In the past, Superstar Mahesh Babu’s Spyder had an early release in the US. It was said to be a major reason for the backfiring of the movie as the negative talk was spread earlier. And now, Bharat Ane Nenu is going to start its shows even earlier (3 PM EST) than that of Spyder. Is this extreme confidence on the product by the makers, or merely following the new norm, that we stated above?

We think it is just following the new norm regarding the release. The talk will come out; eventually, there is no stopping that. But the early shows will mean more people get to cinemas before word of mouth spread out. It helps in maximising the final number, no matter what the talk emerges. That is how the biggies work in the Telugu states, and that will be the same in the US now.

Great India Films (GIF) has an excellent understanding of the market, and their backing of Bharat Ane Nenu is a big confidence booster for the fans. Let us see what they have in store. BAN will premiere in the US on April 19.
