Title Change Before US Premiers?

Nithin’s ‘Bheeshma’ is all set for premieres tomorrow and now, there is a demand from one of the political outfits to change the title of the movie as ‘Bheeshma’ is the name of an iconic character from our epic Mahabharata.

This reminds us of the title change demand for Varun Tej’s movie that was overnight changed to ‘Gaddalakonda Ganesh’ from ‘Valmiki’ as it happens to be a sage’s name from another Indian epic Ramayana.

BJP religious Cell secretary, Chaitanya Krishna has been demanding the title change as Mahabharata’s Bheeshma was a celibate throughout his life but Nithin in the film is after his heroine, kissing and romancing his girl.

He said that they would see that the movie wouldn’t run in the theatres if the makers don’t change the title.

Let’s wait and see if the director, Venky Kudumula and the makers would go for an overnight title change like Harish Shankar did for ‘Gaddalakonda Ganesh’. The movie is releasing on Friday in India.

Nithin’s Friday’s release ‘Bheeshma’ has garnered good buzz by the virtue of the trailer and the chartbuster Singles anthem. Rashmika Mandanna is the female lead in this movie. Let’s wait and see if the makers go for a title change or retain it.
