Talks about the bifurcation of Telugu film industry have been happening for quite a while now and the industry seems to have has set its foot on the decision of not moving from Hyderabad. However, the AP Film Chamber of Commerce (now ‘Telugu Film Chamber of Commerce’) is continuously trying new methods to shift the centre from Hyderabad. The changing of name of AP Film Chamber of Commerce was also probably a strategy to convince thereof. While every decision regarding the split has been put on hold for some time on account of elections, it will start after the formation of governments in both the states

The film industry met several political parties during the elections to explain the situation and the necessary steps to be taken in order to develop the film industry in places like Telangana and Seemandhra. Right now, it is expected that the Telangana government offers more sops to avoid shifting to Seemandhra.
