Big Change Needed For Sukumar

Since las night, rumors have been rife that Sukumar has onboarded a couple of music directors namely Ajaneesh and Thaman to compose the BGM for Pushpa 2. They will be operating alongside DSP who is he conventional music director for the film, and this is to fast track the remaining production work.

However, there is one major change that must be incorporated by Sukumar himself and this is his extremely elongated timelines.

It has been a good three years since the release of Pushpa which essentially means that Sukumar had all the time in the world to shape up and execute the sequel.

However, Sukumar opted to take his own sweet time and carry on with the shoot at his trademark slow pace.

In the end, Pushpa 2 which had 3 years time and must have been executed efficiently is now having to undergo drastic changes at the last minute due to the extreme delay in production.

There is under a month to go for the release and it is strange that India’s most awaited sequel of 2024 is still in shooting and post production phase. This is not what is expected from a veteran like Sukumar, it must be said.

Sukumar is a perfectionist and he likes to spend his own sweet time on production. But what this is essentially doing is putting extreme pressure on the crew with the final leg od production having to be carried out in a very hurried manner to meet release date deadline. This must be altered by Sukumar at the earliest.
