Big Disasters: Kaala Joins Inttelligent And Officer

The writing on the wall on the first day itself, but it is over the following days that it became more apparent. The day wise collections on the weekdays itself showed a downward trend. And since the start itself was low, the overall numbers were even lower.

It would be hard to believe as it is a Superstar Rajinikanth film, but the opening extended weekend collections of Kaala are lower than that of Lingaa’s weekend that came a few years ago. And Kaala is yet to cross the opening day number of Kabali, and looking at the figures on Monday, it might not, in the full run also.

The year has been successful for Telugu cinema with some big successful movies, but there have also been disastrous ones hitting the screens. Agnyaathavaasi immediately comes to mind. However, two other films take the word disaster to the next level. They are Inttelligent and Officer. Kaala has now joined this list closer to Inttelligent in scale. Of course, it is a valuation based on the market value.
