Big Diwali Release Facing Another Roadblock

The title issue was solved and fans are hoping for a smooth release for mass star Vijay Ilayapathy’s Diwali release ‘Mersal‘, coming as ‘Adirindhi’ in Telugu. Now, there has arisen another roadblock for the release of ‘Mersal’.

The film has some scenes featuring birds and animals and hence the movie has to get a ‘No Objection Certificate’ from Animal Welfare Board of India AWBI). ‘Mersal’ team failed to submit the documents to certify that they didn’t torture the birds and animals while filming scenes on them.

So, if the team can’t convince the AWBI after screening the film, they had to remove the portions featuring the animals and birds. One of the roles of Vijay happens to be a magician who performs tricks on birds and animals. So, it is left to see if the CBFC passes the film with cuts or without cuts.
