Big Release Today: Will PK chase records?

Right from the first look poster to its release this Friday, Aamir Khan’s PK successfully kept the interest of the audience hooked in and made them to wait for the release eagerly. The three Khans of Bollywood are popular for breaking and creating records. Especially this year Salman Khan’s ‘Kick’ and Shahrukh Khan’s ‘Happy New Year’ did extraordinarily well.

Going by the charishma of Aamir Khan and the looks he sported for PK, his fans are sure that he is going to break the records of ‘Kick’ and HNY. Moreover, Aamir and team’s unique promotional strategies might also pay off in leaps and bounds opine the trade pundits. The challenge before PK is to make itself to the 400-crore club.

But what remains to see is that, contrary to the above said films, PK is releasing on a non-holiday and it will miss the advantage of opening collections. Those two films could exploit the market and go for record collections because of holidays even. But PK has to run solely on Aamir’s factor to enter the 400-crore club.
