Birthday Boy, Director Still to Join Big League

Surender Reddy is celebrating his 45th birthday today and on behalf of our mirchi9 team, we extend warm birthday wishes to Allu Arjun’s ‘Race Gurram’ director. He had big films and big stars in hand, but he isn’t still in the big directors’ league.

Till date, the director has worked with several big stars including three mega heroes aka Chiranjeevi, Allu Arjun and Ram Charan, two Nandamuri heroes NTR and Kalyan Ram and one with Ghattamaneni hero Mahesh Babu and did two movies with Ravi Teja.

‘Ashok’ with NTR was a flop and ‘Oosaravelli’ disappointed big time. So, he couldn’t deliver a successful film with NTR though he got the chance, twice. With Ravi Teja, it was mixed. ‘Kick’ was a blockbuster at the box-office but it’s sequel ‘Kick 2’ didn’t go anywhere near the prequel.

Recently, he did two films with mega heroes namely ‘Dhruva’ and ‘Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy’ and both of them were highly successful. Yet, he isn’t considered for the star directors’ league. Hope, this will change and his future films would give him star status as a director.
