Prabhas made his debut with Eashwar. Apparently, he was not interested in movies. Upon much push, he made a reluctant debut with the mass entertainer. It fared moderately, and Prabhas got other films in his kitty.
However, the talk back then was that Prabhas was given a minimal amount as remuneration for the movie. In fact, the heroine was said to be paid more than him. It was a trend back then to get young heroes cheaply and score big success. For example, even Tarun got a meagre amount as remuneration for his blockbuster debut.
Now, a couple of decades later, Prabhas is blessed with a pan-India following like no star before him. Today, he gets more than 100 Cr for a single project and further cut the movie’s profits. He is the highest-paid India star. The journey from Eashwar to Saaho should be an inspiration for existing and upcoming stars in the film industry, no doubt.
