Blockbuster, Then Big Disaster: Now Daaku Maharaaj

Bobby Deol, after having two disastrous decades, made a big comeback with Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s Animal. Bobby Deol’s villainous act was loved by many, and many felt he stole the show from even Ranbir Kapoor.

However, Bobby Deol delivered a huge disaster with Suriya’s Kanguva. His performance was also mocked and trolled. It was a huge setback for him after Animal.

Now he is coming up with Daaku Maharaaj. The film features Bobby Deol as the main antagonist. In the trailer, it can be seen that Balakrishna and Bobby are up against each other in a fierce battle.

Usually, in director Bobby’s films, villain characters are not that effective. Even in his last film Waltair Veerayya, Prakash Raj’s character wasn’t menacing enough. It would be interesting to see how Bobby has designed Bobby Deol’s character in Daaku Maharaaj.

Unless the villain is strong, heroism doesn’t get elevated in any film. So, let’s hope Bobby Deol’s role and performance impresses and terrifies the viewer enough to hoot and cheer for Balakrishna.
