Maggi to make a comeback on to shelves

Popular instant noodles brand, Maggi is all set to make a comeback to India. Bombay High court had lifted the ban on the Maggi noodles. While giving this relaxation, the court asked the government to do tests on their latest products and submit the reports to court in six weeks.

Various state government have banned Maggi and the court felt principles of natural justice are not followed in the ban. This court order comes at that time when the government of India is planning to slap 630 Crore fine for dumping products “hazardous and unsafe for human consumption”.

Maggi was ordered to give five samples of its noodles tested by three accredited labs to prove the amount of lead is within permissible limits. If the tests are in Nestle’s favour, it can start selling the noodles again.
