Prabhas and Prashanth Neel’s Salaar started off on a bright note at the box office and continued the fine run in the New Year weekend as well. But the film has slowed down now.
The film has reportedly grossed in the range of Rs 560 crores worldwide which is a pretty good number in itself. But the film is yet to become the biggest South Indian grosser at the box office and it has two films ahead of it.
The two films ahead of Salaar are Jailer and Leo which have reportedly grossed in the range of Rs 600 crore and Rs 590 crore respectively.
Salaar has slowed down in the Telugu market and whatever decent revenues that it is reporting daily are coming from the Hindi belt. The Tamil and Kannada versions haven’t contributed much anyway.
For both Jailer and Leo, the contribution from Telugu and Kannada versions was huge. But these other language markets haven’t been of help to Salaar, barring of course the Hindi market.
Salaar practically cant beat the two South Indian films ahead of it in terms of worldwide gross as the film is almost nearing its end run in the overseas as well.
