Box Office Hit, Zero Gain!

“Miss Shetty Mr. Polishetty,” directed by Mahesh Babu P, has achieved reasonable success at the box office. It has surpassed the one million mark in the US and is nearing the safe zone in the Telugu states.

Despite having a big star like Anushka, the film’s success can be attributed to Naveen Polishetty’s relentless efforts to keep the buzz alive. The decent word of mouth then helped the film to sustain the long four-day weekend.

The film’s success turned out to be lucky for Anushka. If the film had flopped, a lot of people were ready to blame her for the failure as she remained away from all the promotions. Also, the producers would have thought many times before signing her for their projects again.

Not that Anushka will now be flooded with offers after the success of MSMP. Every producer wants to cast a heroine who has no availability issues, health, or looks issues. No producer wants to cast an actress who is facing some problems that might hurt their project in any way.

Samantha, despite her stardom, not many producers want to cast her in their movies as their project might get halted or delayed because of her health issues. The success of MSMP has put Anushka in a safe zone, but she might not gain much in terms of movie offers because of her privacy issues.
