Vijay’s upcoming movie, The GOAT, released its third song, Spark, today. The song features Vijay and Meenakshi Chaudhary dancing together.
However, the music by Yuvan Shankar Raja completely disappointed the audience. After the first two mediocre songs, the third one also turned out to be bad.
To make matters worse, Vijay’s appearance in the song also seemed weird and disappointing.
The film uses the latest de-aging technology for one of Vijay’s characters, but it doesn’t work well, as seen in the Spark song. It makes Vijay look caricaturish and unintentionally funny.
After Acharya, where Chiru’s younger version was horrendous, this one is another misfire in terms of using the de-aging technique.
Fans wish the team had used makeup instead of this de-aging technique which has misfired big time.
When hardcore fans also don’t like the music or Vijay’s look in the film then you can imagine the situation is really bad.
Some are calling The GOAT the worst album in Vijay’s career. They are cursing music director Yuvan for such mediocre tunes and director Venkat Prabhu for approving this look.
Fans want this Spark song to be edited out from the film as such songs would only hinder the screenplay pace and invite unnecessary trolling.
The last film of Vijay that had good music and where he looked his best was Lokesh Kanagaraj’s Master.
Unfortunately, The GOAT is not living up to the expectations. The film is set to release on September 5 this year.
