We have so often heard controversies related to censor boards, with the members sometimes making life hell for the makers to get their films cleared by them. Recently we had even read reports about how a director even had mild heart attack due to the way certain members from censor board behaved.
In a latest case pertaining to the censor board on the national level the ugly truth came out in open as the board chief Rakesh Kumar was arrested by the CBI for allegedly taking bribe to clear a regional film. Rakesh Kumar has taken over the CEO position earlier in the year and promised cleansing of the system. For him to get caught so soon was surely a shocker. However as mentioned at the start knowing the way the board behaves it wasn’t entirely unexpected.
