Censor officer comment shocks Maruthi

There has been a time when Censor Bard officers literally played with his movies for the indecent language used. Suggesting cuts and muting obscene dialogues was something like common for Maruthi’s movies. When a lady member came out after screening of his latest film ‘Bhale Bhale Magadivoy’, she said, ‘Why isn’t this movie in your style? It’s good.’

Maruthi was shocked for such a positive response and even doubted whether she was satirical. The censor officer called him and thanked Maruthi for making a film which could made him laugh after long. The officer was so impressed with the film that the film got clean ‘U’ certificate for the film.

It’s not only surprising for the censor board members, but even common audiences because Maruthi had been notoriously famous for using cheap indecent comedy to entertain audiences. That’s how he made his career. Seems, Maruthi jumped into a new school.
