Chaitu takes in Superstar’s title with variation

After ‘Oka Laila Kosam’, Naga Chaitanya is coming with a film by Sudheer Varma of ‘Swamy Ra Ra’ fame. Kriti Sanon of ‘1-Nenokkadine’ fame is playi ng his heroine in the film. The interesting combo is creating a lot of good hype and the yet to be decided title made and broke many ‘would be’ titles. This particular aspect of title indecisiveness is used cleverly in the recently released trailer creating even more anticipation on the movie’s title.

According to the latest available information, director Sudheer Varma has officially confirmed the title of the movie as ‘Dongalake Donga’.

‘Dongalaku Donga’ was a 1977 movie starring superstar Krishna and Jayapradha in lead roles. This ‘Dongalake Donga’ is a slight variation to the yesteryear movie’s title. The title itself speaks volumes on the content of the film and many already started relating the concept to the director’s debut film ‘Swamy Ra Ra’. Seems the director has a penchant for this genre. But for Akkineni scion, this would be a pleasant deviation from his romantic image.

After tremendous response for the first look poster and the trailer released on Chaitu’s birthday, the movie’s title is yet another factor that would become a plus for the movie’s publicity. Branded as the minimum guarantee hero, Akkineni fans can foresee producer BVSN Prasad on safer side for choosing their hero. Besides fans confidence, Kriti Sanon’s career in Tollywood largely depends on the success of this film.
