One More Disaster to His List in the US

Hrithik Roshan and Tiger Shroff starrer ‘War’ from Bollywood, megastar Chiranjeevi’s ‘Sye Raa’ as a pan-Indian movie, Dhanush’s ‘Asuran’ from Tamil Film Industry have been enjoying their run at the US box-office in the same order of their mention in this article.

However, Gopichand’s ‘Chanakya‘ didn’t spring up any surprises in the US. The hero’s market is almost nil in the overseas terrain and its performance doesn’t come as a surprise, though. None of Gopichand’s recent movies had worked even in the Telugu States.

So, ‘Chanakya’ added one more to the list of his flop movies. About half-a-dozen movies didn’t work for him. The illogical premise and lack of thrills are said to be the reason behind the lackluster performance of the film at the box-office.

Coming to the US box-office, ‘War’ is on the top with approx. $100,008 gross on Sunday till 9:30 AM EST and ‘Sye Raa’ the second in the line with nearly $45,000.
