Not Likely, But Chiranjeevi Needs Him Badly

Megastar Chiranjeevi remains one of Telugu cinema’s greatest entertainers. His legacy is unmatched, but his recent films have not lived up to the standards audiences expect from an actor of his stature. Many feel he deserves stronger scripts and sharper direction.

In recent years, Chiranjeevi’s projects have struggled to capture his true versatility. The content feels weak, and the directors working with him haven’t managed to bring out the performer that fans know and love. That’s where an interesting possibility comes in — a collaboration with Tamil filmmaker Nelson.

Nelson is among the few directors who have managed to bring out the best in superstar Rajinikanth. His work in Jailer balanced dark humour with mass appeal, proving he understands how to elevate a larger-than-life star through smart writing and presentation.

If Nelson were to design a film around Chiranjeevi, it could be a game-changer. His signature mix of dark comedy and commercial storytelling could perfectly suit Chiranjeevi’s energy and timing. It would let audiences see both the entertainer and the actor within him again.

A collaboration between Chiranjeevi and Nelson could easily deliver the same impact that Jailer had for Rajinikanth. While such a project isn’t in development yet, it’s a combination that deserves to happen. Chiranjeevi needs a director who can bring back that spark — and Nelson might just be the one.
