In the last three years, Megastar Chiranjeevi has scored only one major blockbuster — Waltair Veerayya, directed by Bobby Kolli. Now, KVN Productions has announced a new mega project with the same director. The regular shoot is set to begin in December.
Chiranjeevi is currently tied up with other work but will be free by the third week of November. After a short break for preparation and makeover, he will join the sets without delay, as planned by director Bobby. The film will reportedly have a violent backdrop and feature two heroines.
Raashii Khanna has been approached for one of the lead roles. Since she has already shared the screen with Pawan Kalyan in Ustaad Bhagat Singh, pairing her with Chiranjeevi could draw attention again. Malavika Mohanan is also in talks as the second lead. Sources say she is waiting for the response to her film Raja Saab with Prabhas before confirming.
Fans want Chiranjeevi to appear in strong, age-appropriate roles that match his stature. Many also hope the makers avoid awkward romantic or comedy scenes with younger heroines, which often attract Trollers. Viewers expect Bobby to handle this film with care and leave no space for unnecessary criticism.
Thaman will compose the music. Bobby has reportedly written a powerful character for Chiranjeevi, aiming to blend mass appeal with emotional depth. Although Bobby’s previous films have been entertaining, some felt they lacked consistency. Even Daaku Maharaj didn’t fully satisfy audiences, prompting the team to make several improvements during scripting this time.
The team is targeting a Sankranti 2027 release. The shooting schedule is set to wrap by Dasara next year, giving ample time for post-production and promotions. Whether this mix of a strong story, Chiranjeevi’s presence, and two glamorous heroines creates another festival blockbuster remains to be seen.
