Megastar Chiranjeevi is currently occupied with Viswambhara which is supposedly the costliest project in his career thus far. He hasn’t lined up an immediate next project after period actioner.
Coming to the topic, Malayalam superstar Prithviraj Sukumaran who is promoting his film, Goat Life in Hyderabad, commented that he had to hesitantly turn down Chiranjeevi twice. Once when he was approached for a role in Sye Raa and then when he was asked to consider directing Godfather(remake of Lucifer). The Mallu star was occupied with Goat Life on both occasions so he had to say no to Chiru twice.
However, we must note that Prithviraj is not just a brilliant actor but also a capable director. Both his directorials, Lucifer and Bro Dady are box office hits.
So, perhaps Chiru is better off approaching Prithviraj with the idea of working under his direction. This way, Prithviraj will have ample time to materialize the script for Chiranjeevi and eventually direct the film.
Mega fans who have watched Lucifer and Bro Daddy are saying that Chiru working under Prithviraj’s direction for an original film in the future would be a very good prospect. It would be a fresh experience to see Chiru in such a film.
If given sufficient time, Prithviraj could potentially come up with a script that would suit Chiru and this would be a fresh and exciting combo and a needed changeover after routine films like Veerayya and Bholaa Shankar.
