Chiranjeevi Suffering Prabhas’ Nightmare

After the disastrous failure of Bhola Shankar, Megastar Chiranjeevi became extremely cautious about his next film.

After taking a considerable gap, he finally decided to collaborate with Bimbisara fame Vashishta for a grand socio-fantasy project titled Vishwambhara. This high-budget film is being produced by UV Creations.

Initially, the makers planned a Sankranti 2025 release but delays in shooting and Dil Raju’s request to prioritize Ram Charan’s Game Changer for the festival led to a postponement.

Later, reports suggested that Vishwambhara would arrive as a summer 2025 treat, but fresh reports indicate further delays.

The extremely negative feedback on the teaser has put director Vashishta in a state of panic. Ever since the teaser’s release, the VFX work has been progressing at a sluggish pace, as the team is now being extra cautious.

Since Vishwambhara is a VFX-heavy film, the director is making sure that the blunders in the teaser are rectified before moving forward. The backlash seems to have forced the team to rework several portions, which is now contributing to further delays.

A similar situation occurred with Prabhas’ Adipurush when its teaser faced massive backlash from all sections of the audience. The poor-quality VFX, cartoonish character designs, and controversial dialogues led to outrage, with many even demanding the film be shelved altogether.

In response, the makers postponed the film by six months, claiming they would work extensively on improving the graphics and dialogues. They assured fans that major modifications would be made to accommodate the feedback.

However, when the film was finally released, it became evident that only minor changes were made. The core issues remained, and the postponement seemed more like a tactic to let the public’s anger subside rather than an effort to truly enhance the film.

Since reshooting entire portions was impractical, the changes were minimal, leaving audiences feeling cheated. As a result, Adipurush turned out to be a huge disaster at the box office.

Let’s hope Vishwambhara doesn’t fall into the same trap and genuinely works on improving its VFX and presentation, rather than just delaying for damage control.
