CM refuses refund for disaster by Superstar

Just days after Malayalam star Mohanlal offered to return his fee of 1.6 Cr for the inaugural event ceremony of the National Games in Kerala, Chief Minister, Oommen Chandi has refused to accept it.

There is no question of accepting money from Mohanlal as it was a part of legal contract and will look unprofessional, said that CM of Kerala. He also added that the star was unfairly targeted by the media and fans for this opening act performance and that it made him feel embarrassed. Going by the fact that opening ceremony cost the government over 10 Cr, this statement by the CM himself should show the respect he has towards the Malayalam icon.

Another icon of Malayalam cinema, Mammootty too showed solidity and support to Mohanlal and asked the star’s fans to keep calm and stop overly criticizing him.
