Comparisons Killing Prospects Of Blockbuster Sequel

Kangana Ranaut is all set to take on the role of Chandramukhi, which was made iconic by Jyothika in P Vasu’s Chandramukhi 2 starring Raghava Lawrence.

Recently, a song, ‘Swagathaanjali,’ was unveiled from the film, and the response has been extremely mixed, tilting more towards negative.

Many were of the opinion that Kangana might be a good actor, but she is nowhere close to Jyothika’s chilling dance performance. Jyothika was so much better than whatever Kangana was trying to do in the name of dance.

Such comparisons are harming the box office prospects of Chandramukhi 2, which is going to release on the pan-India level.

However, Oscar-winning music composer MM Keeravani praised Kangana’s performance, expressing that her portrayal of Chandramukhi will stun the viewers.

Chandramukhi 2 is scheduled to release in September during the Ganesh Chaturthi festival.
