Court Clears Path for Mass Star’s Movie

‘Mersal’ featuring Ilayapthy Vijay, Samantha, Kajal Agarwal and Nitya Menon lead roles had faced a roadblock when one petitioner claimed rights over the title of the movie.

After the arguments from both the parties, the court lifted the ban on ‘Mersal’ and cleared the injunction ban on the movie. This comes as a big relief for fans who are already confused if their mass star’s movie is coming this Diwali or not because of the declaration of the strike by multiplexes for the dual taxation on the movies in Tamil Nadu.

Last month, Madras High Court issued a ban when one Murali Ramaswamy claimed the rights over the title. But, the law seems to be on the side of the makers of Vijay’s movie. Now, the mass star’s fans eagerly waiting to watch ‘Mersal’ as Diwali release.
