Now, new releases, Macherla Niyojakavargam and Karthokeya 2 which are releasing next weekend are presenting a curious case.
It is all good if Macherla and Karthikeya 2 garner a positive response from the audience. The audience are likely to encourage both films if the word of mouth is positive or at least decent.
But if either of the films fail to score big in terms of word of mouth, they will run the risk of losing the audience’s interest. With both of last weekend’s releases Bimbisara and Sita Ramam getting a good response, the audience who haven’t watched them could well be giving them a try this weekend.
The coming week seems to be a super lucrative one with multiple holidays. If Macherla and Karthikeya 2 strike a chord, then they could enjoy a good run at the box office as they will enjoy the new release privilege. But if they fail to garner the desired word of mouth, Bimbisara and Sita Ramam could be in for another fruitful week.
