Cyber frauds make Vizag cops sleepless!

Very recently, Vishakapatnam found a place in the top five cities in Cyber Crime. The city is registering at least one case every day. The agony of local police is increasing day by day with the mounting instances of Nigerian fraud cases.

Nigerians residing in Delhi, Noida and even in the US and London areas involved in the frauds where they send SMSes to random numbers stating that they won a huge lottery of some crores. They ask to pay some amount to facilitate the transaction as taxes.

They totally stop responding after the money is transferred. The victims learn that they are cheated only after losing money and are approaching Police in huge numbers. Interestingly most of the victims are educated but fall prey to easy money.
