Data theft problems for Telangana Survey!

As the Telangana Survey date is drawing closer, the doubts surrounding the project are only increasing. The survey will be completed by 8 PM on 19th August and from then the onus is on the officials to data entry them. The collected date will be compiled at the mandal level and then transmitted to a server. However, there are no instructions if the server would be centralized or there will be multiple local servers.

In Hyderabad, GHMC will take up the task of compiling data. The corporation will need close to 2,000 computers for the survey and is now in the process of identifying engineering colleges which have computers to seek their help. The collected data has sensitive information like bank accounts and liable to be misused in case the data entry centers are not properly monitored.
