Faded Director Got Chance to Direct the Superstar

Deva Katta’s has begun shooting for his next project, a Bollywood movie with senior superstar Sanjay Dutt in the lead role. This is the Hindi remake of his 2010 critically acclaimed Telugu movie ‘Prasthanam’ which was also a super hit.

The director has made only a few films and still ‘Prasthanam’ is his only claim of a super hit movie. After ‘Autonagar Surya’ failure, the director faded out and now, he is seen remaking his own super hit movie in Hindi with one of the most bankable heroes of Bollywood. Besides playing the lead, Sanjay Dutt is also producing the remake.

This is a big opportunity for Deva Katta and we hope big time that he repeats the success of the story in Bollywood, as well. The political theme and the father-son duo’s conflict will be intriguing enough to entertain the pan-Indian audiences if the story is tweaked a little for the sake of changing the nativity and milieu. Let’s see if the well-read director succeeds in telling the story in a gripping manner, in Hindi even.
