DevaDas Copy Won’t Be an Issue -Here’s Why

The close similarities of ‘Devadas’ with 1999 Hollywood movie ‘Analyze This’ is giving away a lot of doubt if Nag-Nani’s multi-starrer is copied from the Hollywood movie and if Nag and Nani are aware of it. Despite the similarity, going by the trailer that came a few days back, we know that ‘Devadass’ is all set to tickle our funny bone this week.

‘Devadas’ is an out-and-out entertainer and though there are similarities with the above-mentioned Hollywood movie, it’s not a recent one to compare scene by scene. At the same time, we can clearly see how the treatment of the theme is different with two entertainers aka Nag and Nani on board to bring the comedy angle prominently.

Even if turns out to be a copied movie, the director has nothing to lose as Sriram Aditya is no Trivikram Srinivas who was bashed for copying ‘Agynaathavaasi’ from a French movie. There would be no pressure on an upcoming director like Sriram Aditya if it is a copy or an inspiration as long as they can entertain the audiences and win all the praise from the audiences. Let’s wait for 27th October to see if it is really a copy or not.
