Devadas is No Copy – Director

We have already brought you the similarities between Nag-Nani’s multi-starrer ‘Devadas’ and the Hollywood movie ‘Analyze This’. The similarity factor is quite obvious though the treatment and the sub-plots might be quite different.

Speaking at a recent press meet, director of the film, Sriram Aditya said that this multi-starrer is neither a copy nor a remake of any film. It’s an original script developed by himself along with writers Satyanand and Bhoopathi Raja. They had worked on the script for several months, said the director denying the rumours that the movie is copied from the above-mentioned Hollywood movie.

The run-time of the movie is 2 hours 44 minutes, a bit lengthy considering the genre of the movie. That means the movie must have enough entertainment to keep the audiences hooked to the narrative without giving the feeling of slow pace or unnecessary sub-plots. By the way, looks like there are many flashbacks in ‘Devadas‘. How many, Aditya Sriram? He chose not to answer this. Let’s see.
