Anand, Vijay, Rashmika: Deverakonda Family Battle Begins

Three major films for the Deverakonda family

The last quarter of 2026 is turning into an interesting period for the Deverakonda family. Anand Deverakonda, Vijay Deverakonda, and Rashmika Mandanna are set to arrive with three films within a span of just over two months. September belongs to Anand, October is Vijay’s turn, and Rashmika will take over in November.

Anand Deverakonda and Vaishnavi Chaitanya’s Epic arrives on September 11. Directed by Aditya Hassan of 90s fame and produced by Sithara Entertainments, the film comes with decent expectations. But for Anand, this is also a comeback attempt. He was on a strong run after the blockbuster success of Baby, but Gam Gam Ganesha became a big setback. After nearly two years away from release, Anand will be hoping Epic puts him back on the winning track.

Then comes the biggest and most crucial film of the lot, Vijay Deverakonda’s Rana Baali, on October 16. This is not just another release for Vijay. He badly needs to resurrect his career and rebuild his credibility after a string of spine-breaking flops and disasters. The film looks promising, and the pressure on Vijay to deliver is massive. Adding another layer of curiosity is the reunion with Rashmika Mandanna. The pair is coming together again after Geetha Govindam and Dear Comrade, and this is their first film together after their marriage. That alone gives Rana Baali an additional buzz.

Rashmika then gets her own major box office test with Mysaa on November 27. Mysaa is a female-oriented action film and gives her an opportunity to establish herself as a box-office force in her own right. Her last solo release, Girlfriend, was a success, but Rashmika will now be looking to take things several levels higher with Mysaa.

So the Deverakonda family has three very different box-office battles lined up. Anand is looking to recover from a setback, VD is fighting for a much-needed career resurrection, while Rashmika is trying to prove that she can carry a BIG film on her shoulders.
