Irumudi Director Shiva Nirvana Set to Leave Tollywood?

Dhanush is currently one of the busiest actors in Kollywood with multiple projects in his lineup and he is currently starring as the lead in Om directed by Rajkumar Periyasamy. The shooting of this film is nearing its final stages and it will most probably hit the screens in November or December this year.

Following Om, Dhanush reportedly has a commercial entertainer with Tamizharasan Pachamuthu and a rural entertainer with Siruthai Siva in his lineup.

Also, the actor has already announced two big-budget movies such as a historical film with Mari Selvaraj and Tamizh Murugan, directed by Vetrimaaran. However, there is still no clarity on when these two projects will materialize or when shooting for them will begin.

In this scenario, now there is strong speculation that director Shiva Nirvana, who delivered the recent blockbuster film Irumudi with Ravi Teja, is in talks with Dhanush for his next film.

Furthermore, information suggests that if this bilingual project materializes soon, it will most probably begin after Dhanush completes shooting for the film with Tamizharasan Pachamuthu.

Actor Dhanush previously did two bilingual films with Telugu directors, Vaathi and Kuberaa. Both projects were successful ventures in Telugu, but ended up as failures in Tamil.

However, in response to this speculation, many Dhanush fans are suggesting that if this project materializes, it will be a blockbuster film for Dhanush. They believe Shiva Nirvana is a solid director and that he has already proved his potential with Irumudi.

The only matter of concern regarding this collaboration is that whenever Dhanush has collaborated with directors from other languages, the original versions have ended up as successful ventures, but turned into disasters in his home market of Tamil Nadu. Because of this track record, some people feel that Dhanush should stop doing other-language films at least for a few years, until he strengthens his home market.

Nonetheless, there are still no official updates on this collaboration and it remains to be seen whether Dhanush and Shiva Nirvana will collaborate for a bilingual film and if they do, how the project will take shape.
