Dhoom 3 creates history sets new day 1 record

Dhoom 3 starring Aamir Khan, Abhishek Bachchan and Katrina Kaif has set the box office on fire on its opening day. The film has according to early estimate collected around 34-35 Cr (including all versions) to create a new record. It has in the process created history as well because, this fabulous record was created on a non holiday. Previous record openings were all holiday releases.

Dhoom 3 third in the franchise of Dhoom series was helmed by a new director Vijay Krishna Acharya unlike the previous films. He has in the past directed only one film Tashan which was a flop starring Akshay Kumar and Saif Ali Khan. However he was the writer of the previous two Dhoom films and he has also provided dialogues as well for the third film in addition to writing and directing it. Will this film change his fate for better, will be known post Monday, for now he is mildly relieved for sure.
