Aamir Khan’s latest film Dhoom 3 has certainly been doing successfully in the Indian film world, but if box office collections are anything to go by, it is also doing very well in Pakistan. As it so happens, the film broke all records for the highest box office collections on the very first day of release and surpassed the records of Pakistani movie Waar which came out last month. One of Pakistan’s leading exhibitor and distributor, Nadeem Mandviwalla himself said that Waar had collected around 11.4 million on its opening day but Dhoom 3 has crossed that profit by a very large margin.
In Karachi itself, the receipt from fifty six screens on the opening day was around 20 million and most of the multiplexes are showing around five shows a day to capitalise on all the interests surrounding.
