Dhurandhar 2 North America Historic: Pre Sales Hit $4M

The advance booking trend for Dhurandhar 2: The Revenge, directed by Aditya Dhar and starring Ranveer Singh, is turning into a historic phenomenon in North America. With nearly five days still left for the premiere shows, the film has already crossed several major milestones in advance ticket sales, signaling a massive opening weekend overseas.

According to the latest numbers, the USA premiere advance sales alone have crossed $1,072,512. The film is scheduled across 690 locations with 1,765 shows, and around 67,143 tickets have already been sold just for the premiere screenings. When the rest of North America is included, the total premiere advance sales have reached about $1.31 million, which is an extraordinary figure considering the premieres are still days away.

The momentum continues beyond the premiere shows as well. The combined North America advance sales for premieres plus opening day have already touched $2 million. Looking further ahead, the total advance sales through the entire first weekend have climbed to around $4.05 million, putting the film on track to deliver one of the biggest overseas openings ever for an Indian film.

With these numbers, Dhurandhar 2 has already created a new milestone by registering the biggest premiere advance sales for a Hindi film, surpassing the previous record held by Animal. What makes this achievement even more remarkable is that the film reached this mark purely through advance bookings, with nearly five days still remaining before the premieres.

Trade analysts now believe the film is on pace to record the highest total advance sales for any Indian film in history if the current trend continues.

For context, the current record for the largest overseas opening weekend by an Indian film belongs to Shah Rukh Khan’s Pathaan which collected around $26 million internationally in its opening weekend. Other recent big overseas openings include Pushpa 2 with about $19.2 million, Leo with roughly $18.2 million, and Kalki 2898 AD with around $17.9 million.

All eyes are now on the final days of advance bookings, and the upcoming premiere shows to see how far the numbers can go.
