Dhurandhar 2 Tightens Grip Before Toxic Face-Off

The upcoming spy action film Dhurandhar 2: The Revenge, starring Ranveer Singh, has locked a major distribution deal with PVR INOX. The agreement covers key Indian territories and signals strong confidence in the sequel’s theatrical potential across multiple regions.

The deal includes Central Provinces and Berar, Central India, Tamil Nadu, and Kerala. PVR INOX had also distributed the first Dhurandhar in these markets. Continuing the partnership reflects a strategy to build on established audience traction and market familiarity.

Directed by Aditya Dhar and produced by Jio Studios and B62 Studios, the film is scheduled for a grand theatrical release on March 19, 2026. The release aligns with the Eid holiday corridor, traditionally considered favourable for big ticket action films.

Unlike the first instalment, which released only in Hindi, Dhurandhar 2 will arrive in five languages. These include Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, and Malayalam. The wider rollout caters to growing demand from South Indian audiences.

The film features an ensemble cast with Sanjay Dutt, Akshaye Khanna, R. Madhavan, Arjun Rampal, and Sara Arjun alongside Ranveer Singh. The sequel builds on the high intensity spy universe introduced in the first Dhurandhar, released in December 2025.

The release date sets up a direct box office clash with Yash’s action drama Toxic: A Fairytale for Grownups. Trade observers note that while Dhurandhar 2 has franchise strength and wider reach, competition in South Indian markets could be intense.
