Ranveer Singh’s Dhurandhar 2: The Revenge is set for release in March after the first part enjoyed a historic theatrical run. The film will release on March 19. It has already secured a major non theatrical rights deal.
The deal includes digital streaming, satellite television, and music rights. The combined value is around 245 crore rupees. This is among the biggest non theatrical rights deals for a Bollywood film in recent years.
Jio Hotstar acquired the digital streaming rights for 150 crore rupees. Star Network purchased satellite rights for all languages for 50 crore rupees. T-Series secured the music rights for 45 crore rupees.
The first film reportedly sold its non theatrical rights for 140 crore rupees. The sequel has nearly doubled that figure. This development is seen as a strong boost for Ranveer Singh and Jio Studios.
The movie Dhurandhar: The Revenge is expected to be a large scale spy thriller. The film will feature several intense action sequences. Directed by Aditya Dhar, the cast includes Sanjay Dutt and R. Madhavan.
