Did Deverakonda Replace Mahesh Babu?

Earlier, it was superstar Mahesh Babu who was said to be the lip-lock king of the Telugu Film Industry when filmmakers ensured that there was at least one kissing scene in his movies. Now, the filmmakers of Vijay Deverakonda’s films seem to be doing that. His bonafide card to stardom, ‘Arjun Reddy’ had more than 30 kissing scenes.

Though the makers of ‘Geetha Govindam’ chose to trim the entire intense kissing scene that comes during the end credits, there was a kissing scene in the movie that was actually the deciding moment, and the turning point for the movie’s story. Now, Vijay Deverakonda’s upcoming movie ‘Dear Comrade’ teaser also showcased an intense lip-lock scene between Vijay D and his heroine, Rashmika Mandanna.

If we go by this latest teaser, audiences might expect some sizzling chemistry between Vijay and Rashmika. Surprisingly, lip-lock scenes in Deverakonda’s movies go with the flow of the narrative, and that’s the reason why those scenes never looked contrived, especially, ‘Arjun Reddy’ had multiple kissing scenes but none of them looked vulgar on the screen.
