Different Outlook for Prabhas’s Sita

Om Raut’s biggie Adipurush shoot has kick-started in Mumbai as the team began shooting with Saif Ali Khan first. Being a mythological film based on Ramayana, the team has extra pressure built on them as they cannot take liberty with facts and stay true to the epic tale.

Ramayana as we all had seen depicted Sita as meek and helpless when Ravana abducts her. However, Om Raut has a different stance as buzz has it that the filmmaker will be showing Kriti Sanon essaying Sita rather differently.

Kriti Sanon is said to be shown as a daring Sita and not being helpless when Ravana abducts her. Looks like Om Raut is trying to present Sita in accordance with today’s modern outlook. How this would be portrayed is interesting to be seen as we have seen a different Sita all these years.

Speaking about her role, Kriti had said that it carries a lot of baggage as playing such a popular mythological character having a religious touch comes with added responsibility. The actress however believes that Om Raut will be showing the best side staying true to the narration. Kriti has already learnt Telugu and this her first time pairing with Prabhas.
