Director Dusting the Movie in Cans with New Name

Film Industry is full of sentiments and superstitions like any other domain. If director Karthick Naren of ‘D 16’ (Dhruvangal Pathinaaru in Tamil) fame wants to change the title of his second movie, well it could be one of those superstitions.

He was inspired by the fact that the government of Tamil Nadu has changed Coimbatore to ‘Koyampaththoor’. So, he wanted to his second movie’s name to be changed from ‘Naragasooran‘ to ‘Narakasuran’.

If you think, what’s in a name then, it’s the sentiment of the filmmaker and there is no harm if he wants to change it. This movie was in cans despite his third movie Mafia: Chapter 1′ was released and received positive reviews from critics.

Arvind Swamy, Shriya Saran and Sundeep Kishan are playing the lead roles in Karthick’s ‘Narakasuran’. Did you notice, even the spelling of Karthick Naren’s name is different from the regular spelling ‘Karthik’?
