Lingusamy shouldn’t forget that the Telugu audience appreciated his work even better than the Tamil folks. In the past, his films Pandem Kodi and Awara were blockbusters in Tollywood. Even recently, it was the Telugu film industry that gave him a chance with The Warriorr when the Tamil industry stopped caring for him. And he still has the audacity to threaten the Telugu film industry.
Varisu’s dubbed version Vaarasudu is also targeting Sankranthi release and is going to clash with Megastar’s Waltair Veerayya and Balakrishna’s Veera Simha Reddy.
The problem with Tamil celebs and fans is they think Vijay is a star of the same magnitude in Telugu as he is in Tamil. But the fact is Vijay is at best a 10 Cr share hero with the best word-of-mouth.
Vaarasudu produced by Dil Raju is poised to get more number of screens than it deserves. Dil Raju’s clout, especially in the Nizam region, is impeccable and Varisu is sure to affect Megastar and Balayya’s films, even if not in a big way.
