Director’s Offer Scaring Heroines

Filmmaker Priyadarshini, a former assistant of Mysshkin has announced making the Biopic of Former Tamil Nadu Chief Minister, Jayalalithaa. Nithya Menen was roped in to play the role of Jayalalithaa and the filmmaker is busy scouting for the actress who would portray VK Sasikala aka Chinnamma, a close aide of Jayalalithaa.

She is currently serving a jail term in Bengaluru’s Parappanna Agrahara Jail for Irregular Assets case. The director is experiencing difficulties in pinning an actress for the role as many of them are reluctant to play Sasikala on screen as any negativity in that character may have dire consequences from her supporters.

Sarath Kumar’s daughter Varalaxmi Sarathkumar and Aishwarya Rajesh both known to be good performers were approached to play the role. Media reports suggest that they are apprehensive to accept and portray the role. The plan is to begin the film shoot from February 24th the next year which happens to be Jayalalithaa’s Jayanthi.
