Director Trying to Cajole Suriya to Hold Back

For a star like Suriya choosing a direct OTT release came as a surprise as even the middle-range and second-league heroes are trying to hold back their movies for theatrical release.

However, Suriya’s decision did not go well with many in the Tamil Film Industry. Director Hari who did the films under blockbuster ‘Singham’ franchise with Suriya wrote a public note to the actor.

He appealed to Suriya reconsider his decision and reminded him of the importance of a theatrical experience and how they had been very crucial for making several Suriya’s films blockbusters turning him a star.

He described theatres as temples and asked him to think because that’s going to make Suriya’s name as a person who waited for the theatres to reopen.
