Disaster Effect: Director Loses Prabhas Film?

However, the latest reports now say that the film has been shelved. Hombale Films has reportedly decided to replace Prasanth Varma and has begun searching for a new director for Prabhas’ film.

The exact reason for this change is still unclear. However, some believe that the disastrous result of Devaki Nadana Vasudeva, for which Prasanth Varma wrote the story, could be a factor.

The story in Devaki Nadana Vasudeva was slammed for being outdated and predictable. The film was marketed using Prasanth Varma’s name as he was the director of the HanuMan blockbuster, but now he is facing the consequences of its failure.

Right now, Prasanth Varma is busy with the sequel of HanuMan, called Jai Hanuman. This film stars Rishab Shetty and Rana Daggubati. He is also preparing to direct the first film of Balakrishna’s son, Mokshagnya.
