Divorce Curse Running In Akkineni Family

In a disheartening development, Naga Chaitanya and Samantha have announced that they are ending their marriage. “After much deliberation and thought Chay and I have decided to part ways as husband and wife to pursue our own paths,” Samantha wrote as she made the news official.

Earlier, Samantha wrote “When I despair, I remember that all through history the way of truth and love have always won. There have been tyrants and murderers, and for a long time, they can seem invincible, but in the end, they always fall.” This was posted hours before Samantha and Chaitanya announced divorce.

Notably, the divorce curse has been running in the Akkineni family for many years now. Previously, Nagarjuna divorced Lakshmi, Naga Chaitanya’s mother and then married Amala.

Nagarjuna’s nephew, Sumanth Akkineni too divorced actress Keerthy Reddy several years ago.

On a related note, Akhil Akkineni also has a strained past when it comes to relationships. He had a failed engagement with Shriya Bhupal. The engagement was called off days before thee couple were expected to get married.

Now, Chaitanya and Samantha have ended their marriage. This isn’t a trend that the Akkineni family would be proud of but that is how things are. Moreover, divorces are increasingly prevalent in the modern day society.
