Does Sridevi deserve a Hollywood break?

Sridevi’s English Vinglish turned out to be a blockbuster, and now according to rumour mills she is likely to be cast opposite Meryl Streep in an English film titled Cowboys and Indians, which will be titled by the daughter of Hollywood actor Robert Redford.

Does she really deserve a Hollywood opportunity? Because there are much better actress who easily fill in her shoes with polished performance. There are several seasoned actresses who could totally fit the bill. One wonders on what basis was she even considered for even the role.

She is expected to play the role of an Indian in the film if confirmed for the project. The news that she has been approached for the role is true, but she hasn’t been confirmed yet.
